How to Teach Reading Comprehension
Success in school and beyond depends in great measure upon the ability to read with strong comprehension. When students make connections to the text they are reading, their comprehension increases. Good readers constantly try to make meaning out of what they read by seeing how it fits with what they already know. At Pride Learning Center we teach our students to make those connections before, during, and after they read, We are teaching them critical comprehension strategies that the best readers use almost instinctively.
